January 09. I am delighted to (belatedly) announce that I won the Thomas Lyte Modern
Heritage Award!

Paul Brooking, Creative Director, Thomas Lyte, commented: “James is a very creative young maker who obviously has a real passion for pushing the boundaries of craft and design, his work requires a huge amount of skill but is also downright ballsy – I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Many thanks to all at Thomas Lyte and the Crafts Council for their hard work in putting together the showcase at both Canary Wharf and Origin - it was very well presented. Thomas Lyte have commissioned an exclusive piece of my work for production which will be sold exclusively through its brochure and website. I will post images as soon as this is complete and available to buy!

August 07. In August, I was selected to take part in Hidden Art Curated, at Hidden Art Design Fair at Godolphin House, Cornwall. Presented in partnership with the Crafts Council, a showcase of some of new work opened last Thursday 2nd August at the National Glass Centre, Sunderland. The exhibition runs until 14 November. For more information on the National Glass Centre, please visit their website. Images of new work will posted here soon!
